Jaka Glažar achieved great success in all his years of secondary education, and at the same time he participated in many competitions at national and international level. He won a gold medal in mathematics, a gold medal at the PIKO competition (9th Projections and Quotation Drawing Competition 2024) and together with his team the title of national champions in the UNIOR – Knowledge Competition. He has been active for two years in ESA (European Space Agency) projects: Moon Camp Challenge, Climate Detectives, Astro Pi: Mission Zero. He invested most of his knowledge and working hours in the F1 in Schools project. As a member of the first team from Slovenia to compete at the F1 in Schools World Championship in Singapore in September 2023, he participated in numerous promotions and team presentations at radio shows, fairs, companies and newspaper houses. With the team, he achieved a fantastic 3rd place for the fastest formula with strict adherence to the manufacturing rules. As part of two international projects – ESA and F1 in Schools – he participated in the conceptual design and installation of two educational and artistic installations – ESA corner and F1 in Schools corner, at ŠC Ptuj. In December 2023, he and his team won the title of National Champions in the Knowledge Competition. They created an innovative trailer for the APN6 moped, which included as many as four innovations. As the head of the H2GO (hydrogen-powered car) project, he designed and produced a prototype of a hydrogen-powered car together with junior students. As a leader, he transferred his experience and knowledge to younger students, who will thus successfully continue his initial path in the coming school years. Jaka led the Student Community of Mechanical School Ptuj with great commitment and heart for two years. He attended DOS meetings in Ljubljana and was a member of the board of ŠC Ptuj. He managed to connect and inspire the students of the Mechanical Engineering School of Ptuj for a project in the field of mechanical engineering, but he always fought for the fairness and respect of every participant in the educational system. He also represented the Ptuj School of Mechanical Engineering at the 2024 Meeting of Mechanical Engineering Schools and was a participant in the Erasmus+ international exchange. For the year 2024, he became the best student of the SSI City Municipality of Ptuj. In addition to personal ambitions, he is always ready to help others, animate them and involve them in various projects. His invaluable virtue is kindness, which he has shown in many volunteer projects, whether it is blood donation or active participation in the school project Volunteering, where he selflessly helps all those in need.
